Amy Lloyd Born in Cambridge
The second child joins the family in Cambridge.
The youngest child is born. All three children will grow up attending Washington Elementary School and Cambridge Senior High School.
Kathy takes a position at Christ Lutheran Church on Steubenville Avenue, where she will work for roughly a decade. Her presence there deepens the family's ties to the congregation and the broader Cambridge community.
A second exchange student from Ecuador, Javier Vera, joins the family in Cambridge. For the Stadum children growing up in a small Ohio town, these visits open a window onto a wider world.
The 1990s bring a new wave of exchange students from Europe. Kristoff from Germany arrives, continuing the family's tradition of international hospitality at the Cambridge home.
Marco Rigamonte from Italy stays with the family during the 1990s, bringing another language and cultural perspective into the Cambridge household.
Lasse Thue from Norway is the family's final exchange student in Cambridge — a fitting conclusion given the family's own Norwegian roots through Palmer and Signe Stadum.
After roughly a decade, Kathy's tenure at Christ Lutheran Church comes to a close as the family's Cambridge chapter winds down.
