Overview
Georgetown was the setting for Scott's Peace Corps service — his first major international posting and the beginning of his transparency and public-service career.
From 2003 to 2005, Scott served with the Peace Corps in Georgetown, Guyana, where he led digital community media projects. Georgetown is Guyana's capital city, situated on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Demerara River. The Peace Corps chapter directly preceded Scott's move to Washington, D.C., where he continued his work in the nonprofit technology sector.
