Overview
Alameda is the anchor of Scott's Bay Area life — a small island city in the estuary between Oakland and the open bay.
Scott first settled in Alameda in 2016 after returning from Faribault, Minnesota. During his first Bay Area chapter (2016–2020), he wrote accessibility columns and worked on disabled traveler advocacy. He returned to Faribault from 2020–2023 to assist with the consolidation of family archives, then came back to Alameda, establishing his current home and continuing the digital archive project that became this site.
